Tag Lock does not sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Tag Lock stores the information needed to provide its blocking features locally on your device. This can include:
Tag Lock may access installed-application information through Apple's Family Controls frameworks to prevent Tag Lock itself from being accidentally blocked. That information is used on your device and is not sent to the Tag Lock recovery service.
When Tag Lock registers or checks emergency-unlock status, it sends a randomly generated device identifier and device secret to the Tag Lock recovery service over HTTPS. The service stores:
The recovery service does not receive your selected applications, categories, websites, NFC tag identifiers, tag names, or Screen Time activity data.
Recovery-service information is used only to register the device, authenticate status requests, and provide delayed emergency-unlock refills. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Tag Lock uses Cloudflare to host its recovery service and database. Cloudflare may process standard network and security information when handling requests under its own privacy terms. You can read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for more information.
Server-side recovery records are retained while they are needed to operate the emergency-unlock service or until deletion is requested. To request deletion of a recovery record, use the support contact provided on Tag Lock's App Store listing and include the recovery code shown in Tag Lock. Do not send your device secret.
Deleting Tag Lock removes its ordinary local app data. Credentials stored by iOS in Keychain may remain after deletion so the recovery service can recognize the same installation if the app is reinstalled.
Tag Lock uses HTTPS for recovery-service requests, stores device credentials in iOS Keychain, and stores only a one-way hash of the device secret on the server. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
This policy may be updated when Tag Lock's features or data practices change. The latest version and its revision date will remain available on this page.
